True, we do need new ways to convey the greater meaning of such recurring stories, much like @JohnVaillant did in Fire Weather. It’s not just fire or even climate change to prepare for now but all types of mass disruptions, such as pandemics or collapsing global free trade. Carrie, we cheer you on!

What proportion of your guests first met you via your social media postings or cookbook presence? (Asking for a friend!)

Please do better. If you think this message is important for us to know (and it surely is) then connect us to something that will expand our knowledge of this scientific thinking or this man. Where has he written about this elsewhere?

Can you provide a link so that we can see what he had to say?

MLK: "When Jesus said "Love your enemies", I'm happy that he didn't say, "Like your enemies," because there are some people that I find it pretty difficult to like... But Jesus reminds us that love is greater than liking. Love is understanding, creative, redemptive good will toward all men."

One of my most favourite quotations. Another from the same wise source were the concluding lines in my speech to the happy couple at my daughter’s wedding: “Tell me who admires and loves you and I will tell you who you are”.

Will follow PDD elsewhere but count me fascinated! My domain is helping businesses become future-ready for mass disruptions or ´unnatural disasters’. I believe the nexus insight likely works here, too. We focus on reimagining capabilities critical to those scenarios. They too cut across silos!

As a Canadian, it’s hard to argue.

I really value this Talk; it connects to my favourite university course that became a book: Thinking in Time: The Uses of History by Richard Neustadt and Ernest May. They saw history as a under-utilized resource and a powerful toolkit in every line of work. PS, how do I pronounce your last name?

To be associated with one of the great quests of humanity must have been very rewarding for him. You must be so proud. Allow me to recommend to you a book written by my country’s most admired and famous spaceman (Chris Hadfield): "An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth". Chock full of wisdom.

I would love it if someone would build up a Bluesky community for scientists and lay citizens who value science and learning from scientists. I would follow all of you!

I am reading a book debating how significant was Einstein’s contribution - apparently, it’s all relative
