I wonder if the metrics they made that decision by are as flawed as last time?
IIRC it was counting someone watching like 2s of a video as a viewing?

I was off social media for a while, and it bums me out that people are still doing a regular "AI can make us not actually have to think about what we're posting!"
I threw a few images at it that are somewhat specific to social media, and have included what I'd write, the generated text, and a rating.
It missed crucial details in all 4 cases, which has been a weakness of all alt text generation platforms I've come across, though some more than others.

Took a conscious risk to attend family xmas despite none of them masking at this point because I might not make it to next year. currently hacking up phlegm because my cousin and her kids brought some virus with them. At least my pluslife makes it look to not be covid I guess?

Here in Oregon the limits are pretty well fleshed out, unfortunately it's enforced approximately never and just about every walk will include someone not stopping for me at a crosswalk, often marked, because they're looking down and driving with one hand.

As someone that owns an SUV for reasons that involve relatively frequent tetris to fit everything in with the seats down, I can absolutely see that.

Was curious how my CRV compared to the Niro, and it was slightly bigger, but pedestrian safety-wise it seems like it would have a field of view starting further forward.

I think there is a potential for a powerful tool using in part LLMs to make it easier for folks to describe images, but it needs a much more complex UI than a generate button to do so well, especially for social media content.

feels like even if they left as nothing but a name change they could argue that performing in a Trump space would cause their names to be associated, and with Trumps current popularity that could seriously damage Redd's reputation and long term career.
