A.D. Sui is a Ukrainian-born, internationally raised speculative writer, Nebula winner, and Aurora, and Theodore Sturgeon Memorial Award finalist. They are the author of The Dragonfly Gambit (2024), The Iron Garden Sutra (2026), and more than two dozen short stories. We're taking a bit of a break from reading in December, but the submission gates will remain open (mostly because those gates are really heavy, it takes like 5 people to move them, and also they've gotten a bit rusty so maybe I should deal with that somehow but you know what, I'm tired.)
END OF YEAR READING BREAK The FF team will be doing reduced reading in December. Some reading will continue, as we’ll aim to get responses out to any stories submitted in November within our usual 30 day timeframe. Submissions will remain OPEN in December. However, any story submitted in December won’t be read until January. (Unless Editor Cavan gets bored during vacation.)

The print proof of FF#26 has arrived! Here it is pictured with Gus the Gargoyle (year-round decor), and a bunch of seasonal decor.
On the right, a print copy of FF#26. On the left, a little gargoyle statue holding a melted black candle. I call him Gus. Some halloween decor, including a headless-horseman thingie with blocks that says 2 days til halloween.
