My dad was on the 1946 Iona team. He always said that without several rainouts that they could have won the state tournament that year.
I played Knights of Columbus ball there a few times.
Iona was major Fulda rival in late ‘40s-‘50s town ball. My Dad was big in Fulda ball, Ben Wagner ran Iona, & they were best of buddies.

RHP Matt Canterino out for season. This will be 3rd straight yr that he’s missed. Seemed like nice guy when interviewed last yr in Feb., but he’s 27 w/ fewer than 100 pro innings.

Was at The Barn yesterday and was looking at the coaching history. Tubby won 20 games in 5 of his 6 years. And that wasn't good enough. Wonder if the 'geniuses' (thanks Sid) that didn't think that was good if enough would take that record now?
