I think it can be both things, but we have to make sure that the reason it costs more because people are being paid appropriately for their work - to be explicit, I don’t think people are being paid appropriately for their work right now!

I respect this opinion; however, I’d challenge you to find and try a nice bar of Peruvian Criollo or Trinitario cultivar chocolate, and I’m pretty sure you’ll notice the difference! Also.. even okay chocolate is still good chocolate, and it’s fun to try chocolate. :)

On the bright side, Addis was much more breathable than my last visit in 2017. On the other hand, this pushes pollution to the periphery of their economy, where there is no electricity infrastructure. Interesting to see these changes really changing the country!
