This year marks a quarter of a century since Tragedy, one of my all-time fave bands, released their self-titled debut. Although no exact release date in 2000 is available, the first review of the album in a fanzine was in the November 2000 issue of HeartattaCk (audio in reply)

Review by Kent McClard of Tragedy’s S/T LP in HeartattaCk #28 (Nov 2000): TRAGEDY * LP From the ashes of His Hero Is Gone and Deathreat comes Tragedy. This debut LP is as good, if not better, than anything that His Hero Is Gone or Deathreat ever released. The songs are exactly what you would expect, with the addition of some fantastic melodic elements. One of the best records I have heard this year, these ten songs are destined to be classics; “The Intolerable Weight” has an extremely catchy chorus, while “The Point of No Return” has a classic ending.
