(Collyer was shaping up to be acceptable at this before his injuries piled up)

You see Bruno leaving/told to leave for this apparent 100m bid from Saudi?

I know it will be difficult but I think a carrying 8 who does passing well, not even great, just well, and is good at just holding onto the ball can make Mainoo-him-Bruno work in n a midfield three.

More Amorim thoughts here
Alright, my cards on the table.
Working in teams is hard. Getting a group of people to work towards a goal is very hard. Getting buy in from very young people paid a lot of money(even the 20kpw ones are rich) is very very hard.
May 23, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Right so I do not have fully thought through ideas on who will work. From past experience, I find it hard to see how RA turns this around from this position.
May 23, 2025 at 9:46 PM
Frank, Xavi? I just don’t really want a back 3 anymore.

But concerned more about Mainoo being sidelined, not in that he’s the best in the world and must be catered to, more that he needs to be totemic and the best version of him has to be developed if United has to come back.
May 23, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Cooled down a bit so maybe he can last.

Been polarised against back 3s. Whole thing will need too many good-great players and they come at a price point I don’t think the club can offer.

Anyone who can coach a system that has more attackers(wingers).
May 23, 2025 at 2:41 PM
I really do not wish to brigand you, but just following on.

Mainoo has been sidelined a fair bit. He’s not the best in the world. But if he cannot find a space under Amorim, can the club buy an elite talent in the same age bracket and somehow the whole financial package still be cheaper?
May 22, 2025 at 8:43 AM
Him and his family massively kick off when things go bad yeah, but it’s also yet another example that Amorim has sunk at United.

Also, looks like Nacho is gone.
May 22, 2025 at 12:12 AM
I do not think he can do that from the position he is in now. Need to try someone else.

yeah, he’s been told but if a do over falls in your lap, take it.

He said if the board and fans say they have lost faith, he will go without compensation. His words!
May 21, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Which made it easy for Spurs to triple team Amad.
Anyway. point is, next season is going to be difficult. The vibes have been sufficiently poisoned that a change is required, you cannot change 10 players in one window, but you can change the manager and 5 players and hope to get better(too 8).
May 21, 2025 at 11:24 PM
So then, if the first aim to settle the financials, then you make a budget snd get what you can get, you can’t get elite talent that makes this coach’s plan, possibly, work.
So do you still keep him, because he is saying he will not change and compromise on his way(quotes from the presser tonight)?
May 21, 2025 at 11:20 PM
Journalist asked about starting Mount over Nacho, Ruben said along the lines of Mount performing well recently and “who missed in the semi final? Garnacho”.

Unnecessary to have named him, along the lines of what he did with Rashford and the reserve gk coach.
May 21, 2025 at 11:18 PM
There can be no jump into top 5 PL team group from the current position, not unless you do 7-10 changes in the squad, lower costs but also add a bunch of elite talents, both future and ready to play now. But how will you convince them to come without overpaying?
So, they will not come.
May 21, 2025 at 11:14 PM
I do not know, I cannot say.
What I do know is that the way the last few months have gone, the way this game went, makes it very hard for any further buy in, as a fan, and probably as any of the players(Nacho’s brother currently posting through it because RA dragged him in the post match comments).
May 21, 2025 at 11:11 PM
He will go now, or he will go when he has lost 5 games before autumn is over, what might be better?
May 21, 2025 at 11:05 PM
I would really like Amorim to be gone
