Another Emerald Fennell press tour is upon us. Wishing all of you strength through this difficult time.
There’s only so many Emerald Fennel interviews I can read where she says Wuthering Heights was set in the Victorian era

- it was the 1700s like just admit you didn’t read the book

I understood Embark's whole thing about PvP adding tension to the game, but now it's just annoying as hell. I'd honestly just rather have dedicated servers at this point.

Another day where my job is at the whims of a Karen and her furious emails.

There was a picture back when Spider-Noir was announced that showed him on a building in b&w that looked a lot more like SIN CITY. I wish it looked like that.

Hell yeah.
Over 1,000 Ubisoft workers around the world have walked off the job.

In response to a return-to-office mandate, layoffs, and the cancellation of several games, workers launched a three-day strike.

The workers walked out in response to five French unions issuing the strike call.

The strike comes after the publisher revealed plans to cut up to 200 jobs and ordered remote workers back into the office

Quite pissed this am. Unsure why.

They said it was a "mistake", an "overly cautious interpretation of state law." If a school can't acknowledge your child's basic existence, they definitely don't deserve your tuition.

This also means that, even and especially with preparation, she couldn't come up with any answers whatsoever. Instead she held up photos of immigrants while legit yelling at elected officials.
NEW: A page from Bondi's burn book. This is a list of the searches by Rep Jayapal of the unredacted Epstein files. That means the DOJ grabbed her search terms from the computers they set up for members of congress to view the Epstein files to use as ammunition. The photo is from Reuters.

Some would call it a pattern.

I am legitimately angry and upset.

So you think Bondi had a breakdown in the bathroom after today's hearing? Cos that was A LOT.

It does some stuff well but needs constant supervision, and when it messes up, people often don’t know why or how. This makes it both worse and dangerous. I would not structure my economy out of this just as I wouldn’t allow an anonymous man to build my house with materials I’ve never heard of.

Has AI made anything better or easier? Has it produced anything of genuine quality? Notice we only ever talk about AI as a system and absolutely nothing it created. I used ChatGPT for one week and it made more errors than I would've if I had just done it on my own, so no. It's absolutely not true.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.
