In case their bright colors don't deter predators, this sea slug — Janolus flavoanulatus — can roll into a ball & secrete acids from their cerata (the pointy things serving as their gills).

the tips of the cerata look like candy corn :)
The white-and-orange-tipped nudibranch (Antiopella fusca) stands out in the tidepools due to its flashy colors. This one was moving with the incoming tide so most of it was blurry, but I love the detail on the rhinophores. #nudibranch 🦑 #oregontidepools
