Hi! I’m James, and I make games as a programmer and designer. 1 year of experience with Godot, 2 with unreal engine.

Just wrapped up a game for a 10 day game jam, the California clash. Had a lot of fun with the theme, ended up with a spooky game too for Halloween. Have a look here: frontiersend.itch.io/blood-drive

MeleeProto (name pending) is back! We've added a basic shop and fighter customization now, with dynamic art (rough) of each fighter's equipment.

What should I add to make combat more fun?

Next Up: Boss fights, combat UI rework

Blood Drive just took 1st place in the California Clash game jam! Slash and tear your way to the largest horde you can! Created in 10 days with a team of 4, I’m incredibly proud of what we ended up with. #indiedev #gaming #indiegame #godot

Posting this so I can hopefully look back and laugh at my early attempts at art. Does anyone have resources they recommend for learning game art?
This was supposed to be a human.

Melee Prototype Phase 2: Movement, multiple units, and targeting. In a huge step forward, now we have movement! Units battle it out on a hex grid, with the player controlling their team. Would love any feedback, the movement in realtime was a lot trickier than I expected. #Godot #IndieDev #gamedev

New Prototype Reveal! This is the start of a melee game with heavy inspiration from #Rimworld. Next steps is actually allowing the characters to move on a grid, and a whole lot more. Keep an eye out for more updates! Made in #Godot 4.5 #gaming #IndieDev #gamedev

Check out my teams submission for the #IDGA California Clash #GameJam! The theme was "Strength In Numbers", so we built Blood Drive, a game where you play as a vampire collecting an army of thralls to grow your power! Play it here: frontiersend.itch.io/blood-drive

Figured I’d post some early Blood Drive #gameplay. Blood Drive is a game where you play as a #vampire converting a whole hospital to feed your thirst. Made in #Godot. Here is the link: frontiersend.itch.io/blood-drive (ignore the pathfinding lines, I promise they’re not there in the web build)
