The Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network launched a similar effort to virtually attend and monitor hearings at the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.

I had the honor of working locally under Cecile's national leadership and planning a gala with her as the honoree. She was brilliant and somehow managed to also take the time to be kind. Her passing is a great loss.
