FANTASY my new graphic novel is coming out in France on March 27th 🔥

The story tells the intertwined destinies of the princess Alma and the goddess Yourcenar, in a mix of dark fantasy, romance and tragedy 🗡️

The book is made of two stories and can be read from both sides, hence the two covers ✨

1/5 - I wrote this short comic immediately after experiencing a hate crime inside the Wing Luke Museum (Seattle's Asian American history museum). I didn't sit down to make the comic until over a year after it happened, but now it's done. I have exorcized the feelings.

Was digging through some school files for some examples of work for a volunteering application and gotta say I'm still really proud of how this project came out.
3 hand-bound hard cover books with dust covers sitting on a shelf. The one that is closest to the viewer is The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and has the cover visible is a bright textured pink with a yellow spine and a yellow snake curling around a telephone not unlike a rod of asclepius. The shadow of the phone is a dagger. The book behind it is the mysterious affair at styles and has a purple spine, and last book on the shelf is murder on the links and has a bright pink spine.

I edited this comic for poet Jehad Abu Dayya and artist Esraa Elbanna, currently displaced in Deir alBalah. They wrote and drew it together from their tents. It is a very intentional work with many layers to it, I hope you read it (1/5)
