It's a feedback loop. If prices are going down, people hang onto their money because it'll be worth more tomorrow. Then prices have to go down more to get people to spend and the loop continues. The Fed can't really do anything to stop it, like they can with inflation.

I do enjoy using whom properly, and my 5 year old son is picking up on that. But he doesn't quite know the rules yet, so lately he's been on your team.
