My youngest doing everything he can for his team. Now he’s catching. He hasn’t caught a game in 7 years. Just today he’s pitched, played 1st, caught, lead the team in hits and stolen bases. #HesAnAthlete

And we’re done…suspension is in the park but will have to bracket it next week when we have time. HS mtb training will start in June for Aug races. Those pedals are for test rides since he won’t ride clipless.

A MILESTONE has been achieved. My oldest is graduating today. I graduated at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 1988 and he will walk across the same stage. He’s already played here 3 times with the HS band for graduations past. So proud of him and what he’s grown into. #ProudFMVCParents

Aaaaaaaaaaaand that’s a wrap on my oldests high school career! The senior paper toss. Captain of the mtb team this year, marketing director of the Robotics team for 2 years and finished up 200hrs of cadet teaching locally. Graduation is next week! Where did the time go?

What day is it? It’s about to be new to us bike day…@yeticycles 2021 SB130 with a host of new parts. My youngest’s new whip. He needs a more trail bike than my oldest who had 2018 ASR XC bike. Now the whole family is part of the tribe! Mrs FMVC and I both have SB5’s.

As a parent, it’s my duty and obligation to make sure our boys have culture in their lives. Concerts, musicals, plays, traveling to foreign countries…and movies. Also, I’m 1 degree away from Kevin Bacon.

Went out and did some casting today. It was a brisk 40*. We didn’t even see a fish so no fishing happened. Did enjoy Reubens Fest Beer from my home neighborhood of Ballard.

Before Blauw, I had a 2007 BMW 530XiT wagon and that was an amazing car for the time. KFM is a bit shorter and has more giddy up power. Can’t wait for the first real road trip to happen. Already have my Thule box installed.

About 10 days before Blauw was crashed, I was finally able to find a car for myself. I’d been searching passively since early 2020. Took a week to get it lined up. Say hello to KFM (Kung Fu Moose) a 2020 Volvo V60 Cross Country. 42k miles, all options with the City Weave interior. Gonna be fun!
The let us know that they were going to total him out. We knew that once we saw the pics. But damn..he was family. Finally got all the awnings, lights, hardware torn off today. Now the search starts for a replacement for my kid. See ya Blauw!

Right before we left for MEX though, my oldest who always wanted Blauw as his car, slid out on some black ice in whiteout co dictions and Blauw did his job…but gave up his own adventure. We got Blauw with 75k miles and he carried the fun until 280k and was still going strong.

Blauw took us to Mexico, Canada, 30 National Parks, countless mtb trips, over the Continental divide offroad more than 50 times in the years we travelled.

Some of you know Lil Blauw, my 2007 FJ Cruiser. We got him back in 2011 and was so named because my Grandpa had a Chevy Carryall named Big Blue. His first trip was up and over Mosquito Pass a little over 13k feet. My kids grew up riding around in the back on adventures.

Rough afternoon for 9068 at the district robotics tournament. An encoder broke during a hard hit and caused issues for them. But they finished 9th out of 50 teams. Last pic is the controllers for it to drive.

Went from sun and sand to underwater robotics. Today is my oldests last competition. You have to move “coral and algae” to score points. They are currently in the Top 10 against more than 50 teams right now. Quick movie of how it works…
