Making the first friend, or the first friend group, is extremely difficult because humans have an unintentionally cruel social pattern of avoiding “desperate” people. But someone actively in the existential pain of being alone will of course act like they need the socialization— because they do.

‘s really just the parable of the two wolves inside you and deciding which to feed, the nice one or the mean one. Except in this scenario it’s about feeding other people’s wolves I guess?
