Belatedly reading about how this all went down last time. The author is a gay man who was fortunately sent out of Germany before the Nazis could get him. He cites lots of sources that will be useful for further reading. Bring your notepad for this one.

History has been repeating itself for a while.

Oh right, it’s #Caturday

So the Factorio update did suck me in for over 200 hours. I’ve been stressedly hyperfixated on it for weeks now. I had about 400 hours at the start of this, and recently I hit a fun milestone

Nearly forgot #Caturday. Here’s a picture my wife took of her cat. In defiance of stereotypes, the black cat chose a sci-fi shelf instead of horror (mostly because she couldn’t reach the horror shelf). We are very proud of her regardless.

Got this today, so that was nice. Beautiful book. I miss the little illustrations at the start of each lesson, and I’m not sure how I feel about the type, but the book feels solid and ready for me to thumb through for years to come.

Impish glee seems to be my go-to expression when I take selfies. (Yes, that is “The Song of Achilles”; I’m posing in front of my favorite shelf, the queer girl’s shelf)

My wife brought me soup in bed and now tea with honey… ❤️ 😭 ❤️ My lovely wife….

It is spooky season and I will be as silly as always

Cute story about this; my kid discovered it independently of me and we both want to read it!

Had a pimple, but with some subtle photography tricks I was able to hide it without being too obvious.

(Also, I don’t think my alt text is perfect but I hope it’s a little delight to whomever finds it)

Ingrid is in the box vibing. Just being in the box all safe and regal. #Caturday

(Re: the reference: The Larch!) And I hope this baby changing station I encountered in Toronto will give you a chuckle. It was in a nerd restaurant with a 40k themed restroom.

Little friend, come in, no need to be shy. Let me take your hat…oh, you ate it. That’s alright.

I’ve now found a way to make this Raspberry Pi a single-app device that boots directly into a simple word processor called Wordgrinder. I also enlarged the font for the tiny screen. I’ll actually have to start writing stuff now.

There were hurdles, but I’ve got a working word processor thanks to my wife’s patience and a lot of failed attempts. Now I can start thinking about upgrades! The first being: make it run ONLY a word processor.

Almost forgot #Caturday. Here’s a big old floofster

Well now that I’ve shown my face, you get the silly faces too

I did some more #TinyGlade doodling. What a great little game/tool. It's super relaxing and it scratches the itch of creating something. I could go on and on about it. Here's what I did for a recent prompt called "Two Neighbors", to which I'll add "and the Well-Worn Path Between Them".

Oh right, it’s #Caturday! Here’s what Ingrid has to say about that:
September 28, 2024 at 6:08 PM
My Ingrid is always good for these situations
September 25, 2024 at 9:50 PM
Tiny Glade is very good. This is from Tuesday when the prompt was “Cozy Bakery.” My first session I was sucked in for 85 minutes and it felt fulfilling afterward

Sorry, it’s #Caturday and my Ingrid was lording over everything so I have to post for a third time today in spite of my (often ignored) policy of one post per day

A little dashboard magic. Thanks, Bluesky gods :) In all seriousness, I should say thank you to @wiswell.bsky.social for sending this encouragement out into the ether.
