One year I was in America on Thanksgiving night and almost every restaurant was full. We found a really nice Ecuadorian restaurant that was nearly empty and it was delicious.
Then I went to a 7/11 and got a Shaq Soda.
So I forever associate Thanksgiving with that food and that particular drink.

Everyone in Heroes somehow know the mute black guy who stands there and does nothing is Haitian.
They're all right but I feel like the writers wanted to avoid multiple characters just calling him the "black guy".

The erasure of the Heroes fandom thanks to the later seasons is so bad I saw a clickbait youtube title calling it a series "you've never seen".
Look, the show was MASSIVE (for a few months), everyone saw it and then collectively forgot it.

Kind of love that the Heroes blu ray subtitles say "(SPEAKING JAPANESE)" when Hiro is speaking English poorly.
I've seen it happen for both what sound like "Bu-ritney Spears" and "Let it ri-do".
Subtitles are a hard job but also this is easy. It isn't incomprehensible.

I've been buying lots of American DVDs and Blu Ray online cause sometimes they're cheaper or the only ones available.

I have trust issues. I was told this was the final season but it won't be for long.
And this isn't even including the fact that season 8 ended with "My Finale" which was the "real ending" of the show to most people.

It's not nice rewatching a show from my childhood about adults and realising I'm now much older than all the main characters.

In retrospect it is kinda wild to see Heroes in 2006 make one of initial main characters a cam girl.
I don't think I thought twice about it back then but this is a very open way to show Internet sex work in a time when a "wardrobe malfunction" lead to massive censorship in the US.

Gotta love when a show made for streaming gets a physical release. Wish we saw more of that.

Instead of getting annoyed that someone has made a specific hyper fixation their entire personality just think "good for them, that's not for me" and move on with your life.
I get that fandoms can have overly passionate people within them but they just love something a lot. It shouldn't bug you.

My collection of mid 2000s serialised shows about a group of people trying to take down a shadowy group called "the company", and ran for 4 seasons initially before coming back years later for a 1 season event season, and both were only really popular at the start before becoming dunked on.
