It's important to collect data to catch the many failings of the legislation: how many are forced to travel, how often the pills fail, post termination infections etc. Hopefully now the government will have to address the issues with the implementation of the legislation.

Ciara McHugh will speak at our panel this Saturday. She's a trustee of Abortion Support Network, and previously ASN's Senior Helpline Coordinator. She's a midwife, has worked in the abortion world for ten years, Doctors Without Borders, NWCI and an abortion provider in the UK.

Lauran Kilmartin who has been co convenor and treasurer of Abortion Rights Campaign for the past 3 years, will speak at our Shared Struggle, Shared Fight panel this Saturday. She has been an activist for reproductive rights here and abroad for over a decade.

7 years ago, we voted to remove the 8th amendment from the Constitution. This allows the government to create legislation regulating abortion provision.

Since then we've had Marie O’Shea’s review recommendations published, but not implemented.

Using our spreadsheet criteria, the newly elected TDs are: 73 green, 20 yellow, 33 grey and 48 red. Work begins on pinning down the greys, and getting Marie O'Shea's recommendations implemented.

Don't assume your GP will provide abortion services, many are not. Freephone the HSE My Options service 1800 828 010 to find your nearest provider #RTEInvestigates

Our Co-convenor took part in the #StandTogether demonstration in Dublin on Saturday. Great to see such huge support for accessible housing and healthcare, and an end to racism and hate. #DiversityNotDivision
