Justin Wolfers explanation of the term “trade deals,“ using marriage versus dating as an analogy, is a brilliant example of using storytelling to make economics relatable and easy to comprehend.
Previous President's pushed for "trade agreements," which are formal, legal, approved by Congress, and enduring. Trump's only interested in "trade deals." They're less formal, more transactional, only involve the President, and probably won't last.

Let me explain a bit more.
