Jeez - I don't know how much more I can hear about how much or how little protein stuff has.

What is your oldest feature request? Mine was a request for a custom SIS report that I submitted in 2018. We'll have fully moved to a new ERP by July 2027, so I'm on the verge of canceling this one.

I was fortunate enough to see Diego Cara on his 400th start while wearing the sweatshirt my wife bought during the 2013 western conference playoffs against RSL. This time they won. It’s odd how often we see (and defeat) RSL post season.

If given the chance, I'd lose my legs all over again to serve in our great military.

The leader of your party is a five-time draft dodger who has fired more Veterans than any other president in our history.

Square that circle then tell me who really hates our military.

An incredible career and unbelievable humility. Players like him and Chara don't have flashy stats, but their mark is indelible.
What a career Darlington Nagbe has had.

After the Crew won MLS Cup in 2023 I was covering the celebrations in the locker room.

Two different champagne-soaked Crew staffers made sure to tell me:

“He’s the best fucking player this league has seen. You can fucking tweet that.”
BREAKING: Columbus Crew midfielder and MLS legend Darlington Nagbe is retiring after the 2025 MLS season, per sources.

Nagbe, 35, is a four-time MLS Cup winner (2015, 2018, 2020, 2023) with three clubs (Portland, Atlanta, Columbus).

One of MLS's best-ever midfielders 👏

The kids might be on to something with the 0.5 zoom thing. Really captures the immenseness of the sky and clouds above the Snake River and Grand Tetons.

During the week-long celebration of my parent's 50th anniversary, we did an overnight backpacking trip into Death Canyon in the Tetons. It was stunning, challenging, and my sister and dad made fun of my "heavy" gear, most of which I acquired while I was in high school.

The obviousness of rolling out the Nazi playbook is astonishing for the lack of recognition it is receiving.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

My first boss told me during my assessment that goals are not projects. I was confused, but came to understand goals should be the development I need to make the projects successful. He wasn't the best at bedside manner, but he lived what he spoke. It's something I've tried to model since.

Mergers in EdTech can do weird things. Sometimes to do a major effort to select something only to have another company buy the tool you pick (See Angel). And occasionally, you pick one vendor who merges with the other finalist and you end up with the best of both products. (See Ivy.ai and Ocelot)

One thing I missed while camping off grid in July was Governor Kotek's executive order banning cell phones in k-12. As someone who works in educational technology, I support this. I can't imagine learning in the environment my kids have had to navigate. www.opb.org/article/2025...

I brought one of our new online learning polo shirts to a conference, but ended up not wearing it. Can you see the sleeve length difference in the navy blue shirt? Turns out it’s a women’s shirt.
