Nobody has ever beat authoritarianism by standing back and waiting patiently for the authoritarians to take themselves down.

We must organize everywhere to rebuild a pro-democracy majority.

Crap!
This amounts to the most significant data leak in cyber history. Private individuals in the data business now have access to your Social Security information.

This violates privacy laws in every state. Hopefully, state AGs will file suit & pursue criminal charges.

is it good or bad that a billionaire oligarch with close ties to foreign dictators is currently downloading the most sensitive information the us federal government has about its citizens to his own private servers?

Today’s show was my last at CNN. My closing message: It’s never a good time to bow down to a tyrant… don’t give in to the lies. Don’t give in to fear. Hold on to the truth… and hope.

@jimacosta.bsky.social keep up the good work. Keep their feet to the fire!

I was listening to Jim Acosta this week and was so proud of him asking Trump supporters tough questions and holding their feet to the fire. Bad decision CNN for removing him from his time slot.
I appear on @CNN often. And if saying this means my days at CNN are over, then fuck it. CNN, removing @Acosta.bsky.social from his am show is cowardly bullshit. Acosta is an independent, unafraid host. To demote him to appease the crybaby in the White House is pathetic. Shame on u CNN. Don’t do it.

Best thing our allies can remember: if you stand up to Trump you intimidate him and he will back down. If you crawl to him (like his sycophantic politicians) he will not respect you and will eventually throw you under the bus.

I love this so much!

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

Re-upping this piece on why a president cannot simply end birthright citizenship, which is guranateed by the 14th Amendment. Ending it lawfully requires a constitutional amendment. I expect Trump’s EO will be challenged immediately.
