@jonburkeuk.bsky.social disappointed not to hear you talk at the #NationalAirQualityConference, especially as I didn’t hear the reason. Hope all’s okay.

Thank you TCV Lambeth @tcvnational.bsky.social for the annual scything of the meadow. The arisings will be left in heaps for a few weeks and will be composted on site - then we’ll rake and scarify before #CityofLondonPoliceHorses come to help break up the ground prior to seeding.

Also. FAO Daily Telegraph: this is the Penshaw Monument, not the Pembroke Monument. Penshaw is in the North East of England. Pembroke is in West Wales. They’re about 350 miles apart.
Telegraph headline feels inflammatory - there's no tearing, just careful removal of a flag from a grade 1 listed historic monument that belongs to the nation.

Garden birds not looking well? It could be trichomonosis.

By reporting sick or dead birds, you can directly help our scientists understand this disease.

Report here: www.gardenwildlifehealth.org

Please don’t clean or remove feeders until after we visit - this step is crucial.❗

Drought stresses plants and pollinators alike. Flowers produce less nectar during dry spells, though the sugar concentration can increase. This could mean that pollinators must work harder for fewer rewards. What changes have you noticed in your garden this summer?
