Then in 1921, when his first wife died, Lyon Tyler remarried to Susan Ruffin, who was 35 years younger than him! Harrison was their second child (his older brother, Lyon, died in 2020) and was born when the elder Lyon was 75.

What's often given less credit in this feat of spacetime is that Harrison's mother and grandmother were MUCH younger than his father and grandfather. World War II for the U.S. ended Sept 2, 1945, not May 8. That's just Victory IN EUROPE Day (for the Western allies; Russia observes May 9). And Nov 11 celebrates ALL veterans, not just the end of WWI (which is what 11/11 originally celebrated--the Armistice).

The thing many are missing about this ridiculous Constitutional amendment is the clause that prohibits a third term if the POTUS already served two “consecutive” terms. So, no, if this passed Obama, Bush, and Clinton couldn’t run again.

RIP Jimmy Carter. Everyone is rightly praising his incredible post-presidency, full of impactful humanitarian work. But let’s not sleep on his accomplishments as president. Look to the historians for more!

Just sharing my favorite old sports picture. This is Dorando Pietri finishing the 1908 Olympic marathon in London. I just ... love this picture and love pictures that tell great stories. And here's the story. athleticsweekly.com/history/stor...
