And as a fan, I hate this mentality too. It’s a big reason why I loved the previous manager, whom all of English football basically called uppity. And yet 🏆

Tbf that was worse than the loss against arse under Nuno in all aspects. I’ve said this before and nothing has changed my mind, imo Frank looks way out of his depth with the Spurs job. He’s starting to look like he has impostor syndrome.

This is why the whole 'pragmatism' discourse is just a load of bullshit.

Sitting back against Manchester United, who we knew had fuck all up front and were going to find it hard to score against us was a smart way to win a one off, high stakes game. Trying to do it against the team who are top of the league and also your biggest, most hated rivals is fucking stupid.

Sure, he’d give up 3 or 4 goals occasionally (frequently), but at least Ange tried to score goals.

Bring daddy back.

Maybe Ange should get a bit more respect for what he did.

I said in another reply, I think he's saved by the lack of good enough available alternatives. We were able to cut our losses on Nuno because Conte was right there, different situation this time.

Back in September, @profspur.bsky.social wrote a piece asking, ”Has Thomas Frank Made Tottenham More Defensively Solid?”

Because that's what he was supposed to do, right?

That’s his thing.

Have a look at the shotmap (shitmap?) from the NLD for a concise answer to Prof’s question 👇

On one hand I really want to break the cycle of sacking our manager…

On another hand, Frank is quite evidently not up for the Spurs job and you can see it in the players’ body language.

This is about to get so much worse.

Frank better be getting his payout check soon.

We tried to sign Eze, he joins Arsenal to score a hatty against us. The football gods always mock us.

Frank is toast by the way. If you play shit defensive football, but can't defend and lose, then your time is probably up like Nuno.

I'd be prioritising finding a Director of Football whose ethos fits the club. We have some decent players but it is all so scattergun and we are loaded with some profiles and completely missing others. We need to decide how we are going to play and sign managers and players who fit that

Xavi has no one to pass it to seems like our best passer should have people to pass it to but hey that’s just me

For our next manager can we go for someone who prioritises attacking, entertaining football but who can also organise a decent defence *and* has a good set pieces coach he can bring with him?

I'd also like a new car, Santa.

I think The Milo Prediction will come to pass this week.

That being when @notthatmilo.bsky.social predicted this run of of difficult games would expose our frailties and, when that happens, the mood will turn toxic.

I asked this a few days back. What's the feeling now?
The Chelsea game was a low point. Would a similarly meek, confused, wretched performance in the NLD be the de facto* end for Frank?

* He should get the season regardless
