I have heard through the grapevine that alcohol companies AND *THC* companies all want to destroy the CBD hemp product biz.
So a collection of prohibitionists are in cahoots with big liquor and big THC, using Republicans to doom our fledgeling little CBD industry.
Perfect.

I just really thought that direct experience with these plants and these laws for over a decade would result in people taking my experience the least bit seriously when I talked about these subjects, but I guess follow count is all that matter now.

Disappointed. I'd followed her for years. She decides to be a know-it-all about my industry, the one I've been doing for over a decade, so I try to correct her, and I'm the asshole.
I guess I should just be quiet while people are smugly wrong about the law that's gonna destroy my farm.

And, FUCK, this is my only source of income. I have every goddam right to say the sky, for me, is hella falling.

I was not going after anyone - I was trying to correct mistakes. I'll apologize for coming in hot but please don't presume to psychoanalyze me.

The farm bill DID THAT. So that wasn't a crazy assumption. And the current bill is still a death knell for the industry - Sen Paul is saying that now.
Please try to have just a tiny bit of understanding for someone who has been complying with onerous and CHANGING laws in this business for a DECADE.

I'm just a guy with a farm that's about to die because of politicians making stupid decisions for bad reasons, a few of which I did a bad job of explaining on the internet.
Just have a goddamn heart, huh? Please. I'm sorry I'm not going a great job explaining my livelihood falling apart.

This is new! And bad! And affects me, a CBD producer who is NOT using any loopholes or doing any lab work to make delta-anything.
This shit is huge to ALL CBD people, not just the ones exploiting the loophole. THAT's what I was trying to get across to you.

... the final products I make are back below .3% total THC. But if I'm reading this right, it means under the new law, my entire stock has to be liquidated because it is no longer considered hemp because it crosses that .3 line.

I don't expect you to know this, but the current rules are more flexible. For example, my hemp flower tests at pre-harvest below .3% total THC for compliance. But post-harvest those numbers can climb as high as .9%. In the current rules, that's fine, so long as ...

Hey you try having your livelihood threatened and see how calm you are. This is my life we're talking about. And FWIW, I still think you're wrong. There are changes here, they are onerous, and it will destroy my business. I live here, you're a tourist.

Republicans tried to do it with the last farm bill, too. I'm hearing about pressure from the big alcohol companies.

Hey. It's late and I'm not a politician and I'm trying my best to read this thing.
The "0.4 milligrams combined total per container" limit (page 131) is new and is NOT the current .3 percent limit and would destroy a lot of products.
