It's an inconsistent album, this. Would be much higher on my list if it had more songs like Intangible and Testing the Alarm. But overall, it's a clever, diverse, and exciting mix of different styles of rock music.

A surprise success for me, given the genre. But there's so much personality in this album that it's hard to resist. Crowded Rooms is a standout track if you want to dip in.

How was your Saturday afternoon? I paid £20 for two tickets to see a film about a flying, talking reindeer, trekked all the way to city centre and through crowds of shoppers, sat through 18 trailers for kids' films, only for my daughter to start screaming that she wanted to go home. Fun.

This week was the first time I've done 3 #gigs in a week since my daughter was born in 2021. I'm fucking knackered. 2 of them were absolute class, though. Shame the other was ruined by the plethora of idiots in the crowd, mind.

First time attending a gig at @avivastudios.bsky.social last night and, honestly, that might be the best sound I've experienced at a show. @fontainesdc.bsky.social were on fire, too. That sound, though! Hard to show in a photo, really.
