Phillips 66 CEO says he is committed to idling its 147,000 b/d Los Angeles refinery by October. The downstream company previously cited increasing challenges for doing business as a refiner in California. LyondellBasell is also on track to close its 290,000 b/d Houston refinery by Q1 2025.

Nikola filed for Ch. 11 bankruptcy and it is looking to sell assets and wind down operations. The electric truck maker will offer limited service, support for its trucks and hydrogen fueling network through end-March. After that, it said it will need to raise more funds to continue those businesses.
