We all gather to see Paul Krugman appear as a glowing hologram.. "In the year 2025, a leader called 'The Ass' is going to bamboozle the people of our galaxy, and he will destroy our economy with tariffs"

You're lucky your computer is able to run Windows 11. I'm being pushed into Linux.. but I'm happy for the shove. I swapped over a laptop to Ubuntu just to see how difficult it was to do, and my god what a difference. It runs sweeter and faster, and the battery lasts longer

This is why I'm convinced it's a tool. If it was purely decorative they would have made all the holes the same size

...either that or it's time travellers who made models of their space station

Fantastic clip of film tho

I see we finally given up on Isaac Asimov's robots and started building John Sladek's

Erk!

The "island of sanity in a sea of madness" thing is quite an important premise. I think I'll keep my money in my wallet for now. Maybe sometime in the future when I've got a bit of spare time I'll watch it

Thanks for the reply

I don't think MRIs have the resolution to scan something as small as his brain

He either really doesn't know what they scanned, which suggests mental incapacity

or he thinks that not knowing is an acceptable answer, which also suggests mental incapacity

That's possibly a good sign for me

"I didn't like the show as much as I didn't like the books"

I've heard so many bad things about Foundation, but I loved the trilogy. I don't subscribe to Apple. Do you think I'd be disappointed if I did? There are so many characters in the books, I just don't see how they could do it justice

Tim Davie has already fallen on his sword. Hopefully his successor can keep the Damien Days out of the newsrooms

The whole suit thing is ridiculous, but Trump is losing his marbles, as evident by him suing the Wall Street Journal just as the Epstein birthday card made its appearance

I'm not her biggest fan, but I do hope she heeds yer advice

You'd think they wouldn't assassinate her after Charlie Kirk

But we've got this show in the UK called "The Traitors." One of their strategies is "I wouldn't do anything so obviously incriminating" as a double bluff

Panorama has always been sensationalist. They deserve a slap on the wrist, not a fine of... a quadrillion Dollars!

Trump is trying to control the press in other countries. I don't want to see my own country's press intimidated by that... cunt
dr. evil from the movie dumb and dumber is sitting in a chair .
Alt: dr. evil is sitting in a chair demanding one billion dollars from an economy that doesn't even have that much money yet

Yer like an addicted smoker offering fags to folks so you don't feel so guilty smoking yerself

"G'wan.. Have another bit of hardware.. Just one more purchase won't do you any harm"

I might've considered it if they'd done a cheaper Linux version without the Microsoft Tax

Definitely the Winter of Discontent, but what happened afterwards wasn't because of Thatcher, it was *despite* Thatcher

The computer boom made commerce easier, and North Sea Oil made the country richer even tho it was squandered on a stupid monetary policy

I'm not saying the emails don't exist, but I think Putin himself might have worked out that the owner of a teenage beauty pageant could have a penchant for underage girls

I'm a licence payer. I'd be happy for the BBC to countersue. The edit did not alter the gist of his speech

Let it be shown in court he waited 3 hrs before intervening, he wanted his thugs to carry guns, and he pardoned the cop killers afterwards

Flour is already a carbohydrate. The yeast can feed on that fine enough. I've never had to add sugar to any of the bread I've baked

Adding sugar to bread to make it sweeter is like adding ethanol to wine to make it stronger

Don't forget the high-pitched whistle, and the occasional roll-around of the picture

Also you'd probably have to use a microphone to pick up the sound of passing cars, to decide when to add snowy interference to your shows

It must be so exacerbating to try to convince a room full of moronic misogynistic cunts of something so painfully, tragically obvious

No wonder Kentucky has a world-wide reputation for being backwords simplefolks

This is not good news

Again the US slips down countries' rankings. Again the rest of the world shows them they can do without the USA. Again Trump's sabotaging of America's status makes Putin happy

What about fireworks? In the UK we can only buy fireworks around the 5th November. Can you get them all year round?

We'll be wanting champagne corks flying, billowing clouds of fireworks, dancing in the streets, smiles and laughter everywhere around the world

A weather system of 2019 that was ravaged by corporate greed. It may have taken an additional 6 years, but welcome to the future

Trump is not beyond killing people for the purposes of public opinion. Just look at the fishermen he has murdered
