Child of God. Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Georgia. Standard disclaimers.
I was back in a congregation that was a neighboring parish when I planted a church in the same county holding a Celebration of New Ministry for their Rector who I shepherded through the ordination process and ordained a deacon and priest. Lots of folks I have known for a long time and new ones too.

What a delight to be back at Christ Church in St. Mary’s today to confirm Collin during a Celebration of New Ministry as the Rev. Ken Shradar has been called to serve as their rector. They were a partner in ministry as I served a decade in Camden County and I love this new chapter. #episcopal ⚓️

In thanksgiving for all the soldiers, sailors, air men and women, Marines, and Coast Guard:

O Judge of the nations, we remember before you with grateful hearts the men and women of our country who in the day of decision ventured much for the liberties we now enjoy.

We had such an enjoyable morning worshipping at Good Shepherd in Swainsboro ending with a rededication of the parish hall devastated by Hurricane Helene which we did in honor of Roger and Mary Ann Peebles. It was so great to see the space renewed! #episcopal ⚓️

Today was such a hope filled Sunday at St. Mary the Virgin in Augusta as we worshipped together and then imagined new ways this congregation can meet the needs of its neighbors. Possibilities are emerging for a faithful path forward. #episcopal ⚓️

We celebrated tonight, with three baptisms, the 25th anniversary of King of Peace in Kingsland, which Victoria, Griffin and I worked with others to plant from 2000-2010. So good to be home at King of Peace to enjoy what they have become in these 15 years since we were with them daily. #episcopal ⚓️

At St. Margaret of Scotland in Moultrie, I was reminded again that ministry happens when we go with how the Spirit is moving. Maurice arrived at church hoping to be baptized. How could a bishop look in his eyes and not do so? I also got to confirm Veronica and Mirian. #episcopal #BishopLogue #DioGA

A delightful morning of worship at Christ Church in Cordele with a lovely lunch to follow. With a storm on the way, hitting before we left, everyone was delighted to pray together in the beautiful church under the tall pines. #episcopal ⚓️

Such a meaningful and joyous celebration today at St. Paul the Apostle in Savannah that held a single service at 12:15 pm when the Spanish language service meets. I presided and preached in Spanish and English with baptisms, confirmations, and first communions. #episcopal #latinosepiscopales ⚓️

A pleasant Sunday morning as we worshipped together in the picture perfect St. Michael’s in Waynesboro as a needed rain fell outside. We had a great lunch afterward with time to visit. I am glad that the Rev. Noelle Raiford from Trinity in Statesboro served as the deacon in the liturgy. #episcopal ⚓️

It was so good for Victoria and me to be back at St. Paul’s in Albany as they are going through a transition with supply clergy keeping Sunday worship going. So great to be with them and to see this congregation continuing to thrive. This will be a great call for their next rector. #episcopal ⚓️

Today, we dedicated the chapel at the Episcopal Center to Deaconess Anna Alexander, the Patron Saint of the Diocese of Georgia. This is the chapel where my staff and I now have our offices. In the congregation was a student of hers, Samuel Holmes. #episcopal ⚓️

I see folks asking about the dress code for The Rapture given it is predicted for Tuesday. Safe to always go out and about with the answer from Colossians 3:14, “Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”

Born in 1865, Anna Alexander established a mission church at Pennick in 1894 and a school in 1902. She tirelessly and devotedly taught, led services, and inspired young people with hope as she transformed her rural community. Find out more here:
