Love is infinite; time is not. I want to write something useful one day.

📍Philly/NYC
I love the company Nvidia. But can the stock market please figure out a way to decouple its performance from this behemoth? Pretty please, and thank you.

JFK's words have never been more timely: "Ask not what your country can do for you but how your country can survive my nephew"

One of the central theses of my latest book is that in our current version of attention capitalism the *brand* is increasingly more important than the *product* and this last election sure seems like a good example.

Exactly
One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Matt Gaetz withdraws!

I’m sure it was my skeets.

Good riddance.

These are the Democrats that have access to the Matt Gaetz report.

• Susan Wild (PA)
• Veronica Escobar (TX)
• Mark DeSaulnier (CA)
• Deborah K. Ross (NC)
• Glenn F. Ivey (MD)

We should be calling and writing them, telling them to stop honoring norms that Republicans never do, and release it.

Are there Democrats on the congressional ethics committee that have access to the Matt Gaetz report?

If so, why the fuck are they not releasing it and telling Johnson to go to hell?

That’s what they would do.

Yes this. Exactly this.
If you spend your time watching the circus, that’s time lost reading the federal register to see what is *actually* being pushed

You already know they love performance art. That’s old

Start googling Schedule F and federal register

Same for recess appointments and powers of acting secretaries

Oh I get it! Another benefit of putting compromised people in your cabinet- you can hold their ill deeds over their head when they disagree with you.

I don’t think Cheeto Mussolini is necessarily shrewd in this, it’s probably Stephen Miller’s idea.

Skyfeed is good, but not great. I can't seem to build the custom "Text Only" feed I want. No easy way of filtering out posts with links, for example.

I’m thinking about killing my Threads account too, to be honest. I don’t know much about the CEO of Bluesky yet, but I know it’s not Mark Zuckerberg.

I keep considering a project to write or curate something code named “The Bibble”. A modern day attempt to explain the absurd things happening, and a new structure for how to cope, how not to be a dick. It wouldn’t include metaphysics or goat sacrifices. Just good old fashioned, judgy philosophies.

I find introductions challenging, but I’m giving it a try. I’m a happily married Gen X father of three, step-dad to two, and a nearly life long information technology geek. I’m currently working in the financial services sector as a Senior Software Engineeer. 🧵⬇️

I wish everyone would ditch the mandate/no-mandate debate. It’s yet another substance free, divisive issue they want us fighting about.

I have hope for you @bsky.app, genuine hope. Best of luck to you.
