I love molasses on bread. And we use it for making brown beans. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth?

I’ve given up on buying chocolate chips. Oatmeal raisin cookies will have to do.

I’ve been making my own brown sugar. It’s just sugar with some molasses mixed in. It’s oddly satisfying to make.

I believe Peggy’s Cove Rd is a provincial road, not municipal

Of course not, I’m pointing out the deficits we have. I thought that was obvious.
Residents of an urban area have many more services than rural. People become used to what you have and don’t always acknowledge them, and think everyone has the same benefits.

I agree, I can’t imagine ever having water or sewer, which is why there can never be an indoor pool. There have been many people with dry wells, some for the entire summer. A drilled well cost $20- $30,000. Depending on the soil/ bedrock septic can be $25-45000.
I’d gladly pay to use transit!!

I’m replying to the sarcastic comments of our parks and services. I’m using our non fiber op internet because we do not have any cell services. Crazy that we are part of HRM , but no cell service.

Don’t get me wrong, we love living here, but we do not get the same services as other areas. Wells and septics are another cost. And headache.

Transit is only at Highway 103. Limited to commuting hours. No evening or weekend. We do have a subsidized community transport , mostly volunteers, call 48 hours in advance $10 for 10 kms.
