The predisposition is a mix of arrogance, ambition, extroversion and contrariness. But perfectly possible to have those things and do good and useful things, without the bitterness/trigger.

The more I see people I've known go down the radicalisation spiral the more I can see the pattern. A particular combo of predisposition, bitterness, a trigger moment, attention from the new tribe.... over and over.

To have age verification is to accept platforms cannot change. It's not forcing accountability at all. It's accepting they have the power to continue to do nothing about the harms that exist on their services, that children will inevitably encounter when they turn 17.

To have age verification is to accept platforms cannot change. It's not forcing accountability at all. It's accepting they have the power to continue to do nothing about the harms that exist on their services, that children will inevitably encounter when they turn 17.
