Retired so I have time for my garden, books, art galleries, travel and anything food related. Living between central France and northern England, best of both worlds.
I’ve just started Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton. Loving it!

Morning! I finished Elif Shafak’s There are Rivers in the Sky this weekend. Superb. Now reading Mauprat by George Sand. I live in the area where it’s set in central France and try to read in French every so often, hard though that is.

Still reading The Women by Kristin Hannah. Got me interested to find out more about the politics and personnel of the Vietnam war and the unrest it caused. Fascinating insight into the experience of women army nurses both in the field and on their return home.

Interested to know if you would recommend it. Just finished Unsheltered by her and after a slow start really loved it. Again about real people and so many interesting comparisons made between 19th century science and present day.

I really like the aioli ones

I have the same feeling so pleased to hear it reinforced. The only one I got into much quicker and sailed through was Demon Copperhead.
