I do art & writing & dreamwork & tarot & shamanism. I think I might be retired because I don't have a job. 🤷 I used to work as a dev & a visual artist before that. I admire reason, but I'm not a rationalist nor materialist. Remedios Varo is my hero!

Before you follow me…

I have no idea why hundreds of people follow me, I can only think of a few dozen who have had more than a passing interaction with me. I occasionally reply or post stuff, but really, I expect to be obscure and mostly ignored.

Let me just explain a tiny bit about myself…

Every time I start thinking that I'm judging journalists too harshly, one of them will post something about what Biden did that Trump is doing at least 20 times worse *right f-ing now* and they say nothing, and I think that maybe I'm not judging them harshly enough.🙈

Seriously kids, avoid j-school.

Every time I see "Democrat Party" I know the speaker is not interested in debate, discourse or normal politics, but bullying and insults and forcing some vile crap on others. It's a tell. If you intentionally butcher someone's name, you aren't trustworthy or respectful. Of course they'd elect Trump.

Hadn't made a pizza since March and thought today would be a good day. But my yeast was almost dead and barely proofed and I didn't have transportation... So, we're having flatbread with pizza toppings for dinner tonight! 🙄🍕🙈🫓

I have no idea why journalists bother repeating *anything* that billionaires say. Have you ever heard them say something and been glad to have heard it? Usually it is about them squeezing more money out of the system with some dumb story or outright lie. 💩🙄

My partner just told me that they think the next Trump distraction is going to be an announcement that the government has alien bodies that they have hidden from the public!

👽

Can't wait! Will he have pictures? Probably some screen-caps from some History Channel 🛸 show!

All of us who voted for them & Biden were right too

Was watching a clip last night about the Senate shutdown vote, the reporter asked about Dems, interviewing Angus King, who is NOT a Dem. Then followed up with Bernie, who is ALSO not a Dem.

WTF? Couldn't find an actual Dem Senator? 🙄

Also, these guys are 81 and 83, no complaints about their age? 🙄

I did 10 years doing print production and developed the irritating ability to detect imperfect non-90° alignments, it would just gnaw at me at a low level. Also negative spacing. And especially kerning. So much poor work out there these days, even decades later it feels like I live in crazy town! 🙄🙈

Dreamt I was talking to a woman who kept saying Growl! and I realized it was her dog's name. I said, that's funny, that's the name of one of my best poems!
I like writing poems about dreams, and woke thinking that I should write Growl! Then realized Howl was too big: "I saw the best dogs of…" etc. 🙄

I still think this #Tarot reading is working out the way it showed up here. The Mogul just had his attack dog go at the Leader, and more textual content is appearing that casts shade on the Leader. The intent seems to be about harming the Leader in a big way. 🧐

I started out in school getting a BA as an artist, but eventually got technical work and went back to get a BS to pay the bills.
The hardest course was a semester on Gödel's incompleteness theorems, but that turned out to fundamentally change the way I viewed the world and how I worked and planned.

One of my favorite podcasters is Kelly Chase (who seems to have been driven off of social media by goons). But I've listened to everything she's published as she shows great intellectual honesty and curiosity. Here's a current episode about the origins of her journey:

I've been going through old journals and it struck me how many people I've known who've told me about how they had no choice in some matter concerning a decision, but to me it really seems that they did. I look at my decisions, for good or ill, and it seems I did have choices, but didn't like them.🤷

I've had ~50 jobs in my life and there were maybe 3 good managers. A dozen of them were textbook terrible. Managing people is hard to do well, and leading them well is even harder. I am not surprised at how rare this is. We have altruistic ideas of what is good, but emotional tribal impulses, too. 🤷

Every day I miss Harry Reid, who DGAF but always had a tactical & strategic plan to get things going his way.

The Senate has mostly *always* been dysfunctional, except maybe LBJ? Really, it should be reconfigured to be like UK's House of Lords, advisory but unable to block everything indefinitely.

It is very strange to me that it seems like most people haven't realized that the legacy broadcast media has become so unreliable that you can no longer depend on anything they say or avoid saying. Look at how Trump's dementia has become dangerous, and nothing but crickets about it in the media. 🤷🙄

I can always tell when ☿℞ is coming because I get the impulse to start buying stuff I decided was too expensive or that I really didn't need.

The news media always tells a story about how bad the Democrats are, and even Democrats just lap it up and get reactive and angry. But, at this point we shouldn't believe the news media. Who own them? They have an agenda that includes always harming Democrats. 🤷

If you asked me who'd be Speaker in 20 years, I'd say that AOC is the most likely looking candidate. Demonstrably very smart and gets political strategy and is one of the few I see who learns about the factions. And she only needs her district and peers to vote for her, easier than trying for POTUS.

The best thing about elections this week, at least here in PA, was that we retained the three Dems in our state's Supreme Court, so that gives us another ten years of reproductive rights! 👏👏👏

Sad to see so many people trashing Nancy Pelosi today. It reeks of some nasty ageism, but then, we're all going to get old or die on the way, so we get to see it directed at us eventually, if we live.

But she was one of the small handful of truly effective Speakers in history. Without her, no ACA.🌞
