I still need to watch 2205. As a kid I could never watch Star Blazers Bolar Wars, so this is uncharted territory for me.

To me the only thing more frightening than the clown in The Thaw was Janeway following him all the way down into oblivion... she was almost enjoying it.

What always amused me about this scene is why would Worf and Genestra decide to use this particular viewscreen in the briefing room? Surely there are other screens on board!

Basically my idea was they channel warp plasma through a discreet layer of subspace from reactor to nacelle. No more plasma fires, the warp core can go anywhere you want, faster response times when power levels change, and cool-as-fuck floating nacelles.

I have discussed detached nacelles, over whisky, with certain franchise folks. They tell me the idea of detached nacelles came before science could bless it.
I gave them a “Star Trek science” solution. They nodded and said that idea works as well as any other.
