Our Cargo Trader program at The Yard is nearly done after another day of hacking. Trading cargo is one of the relatively easy ways to make credits and keep your crew fed and your ship flying. Gotta watch out for pirates though!

New features! Access levels and ID checks are now integrated into the computers. Stealing or acquiring a higher level could be quite fruitful. Storage containers actually store items!

At the Cargo Trader you can buy low and sell high, sometimes even a Traveller needs a legal buck. #indiedev #godot

I have never seen the comms officers pull a stunt like this when I threaten them with piracy. They know these things and are are messing with me. When these systems start working together this game is gonna be crazy.

We've been cooking! Working on the new and improved "Deck 1" for the Traveller, with all new items like beds, storage containers, and more. The Captain only provides the finest sheets, in his personal living quarters at least.

Back in the editor, adding more computers, props, and tiles. We'll need more than a test box where we are going! I'll probably add a cloning tool and clean up the editor a bit while I am extending The Yard and the Traveller maps. Would you like to see the editor in-game?

All of this dialogue is real-time and generated by the agent. If you are belligerent enough expect a response, for now it's time to dock and buy cargo.

Are you a fan with permanent twilight and tidally locked planets like me? Tidal locking causes permanent night and day and with liquid water and temperature gradients, life can arise in the differential.

If you are building a large Godot project and have any heavy scenes, and have a lot of logic outside of Nodes, the autosave feature will really start to hurt more than help.

Go to the Godot Editor Settings -> Run-> Auto Save and turn off Save before Running. Time saved! #godot #godotengine #gamedev

Fo xmas TBT gets aggro ships and ship damage, with explosions! Things did not go well for this particular crew. When you armor has failed ballistic rounds will penetrate into the 2D sim and have devastating consequences. Now on to cargo/transport missions! #godot #indiedev #gamedev

These toon planets from the Godot Shader library have served us well! While they don't fit the theme of the game at all and never worked properly at scale, they were my first foray into shaders and have a special place in my heart. #godot #indiedev #devmas
