I'm still alive and building, going through one of those transitional phases in life. My dad passed away on June 15th and I have been his primary caretaker for over 8 years, daily the last few months. Then my car got totaled this weekend, and I have a new job starting soon.

* Survival Mechanics (food, water, rest)
* GOAP and more dynamic behaviors

We have tons of updates coming soon for the Boundary Traveller. Development is accelerating as we've built a lot of the foundation for our multiagent sim and we've narrowed the scope of our 3D environment to deal with the limitations of most of our VRAM dedicated to the LLM. Exciting time ahead!

Day 2 of #BrackeysGameJam 2025.1! I didn't have as much time to work on it today, but things are forming. Got some simple audio. Made some more design decisions. And the part I'm most excited about, I started building out some of the lore/puzzle! Mini-games tomorrow maybe?

Focused on early-game progression right now. There are many jobs you can do as a space hobo to work your way up to more illustrious roles.

I've built out Ranks from Ensign to Captain, are now distributing the right ID card access to NPCs, and working on the job dialogue. #gamedev #indiedev #godot

Our Cargo Trader program at The Yard is nearly done after another day of hacking. Trading cargo is one of the relatively easy ways to make credits and keep your crew fed and your ship flying. Gotta watch out for pirates though!

New features! Access levels and ID checks are now integrated into the computers. Stealing or acquiring a higher level could be quite fruitful. Storage containers actually store items!

At the Cargo Trader you can buy low and sell high, sometimes even a Traveller needs a legal buck. #indiedev #godot
