As for Kane, he plays for a better team in an easier league, and has been a world class complete forward for a decade, wanted by Man City at the height of their powers under Pep (and before they went for Haaland).

Michae Olise was already a star, he signed for €60m (only that low due to release fee) and had 16 goal involvements in 19 games for Palace in 23/24. Most Palace fans acknowledge him as one of the clubs best ever players. He moved to a bigger team and matured a bit, that’s not Kompany’s achievement.

I also realised that you can trade your 6-7m MD for Bruno if you go for Strand Larsen as the 2nd striker and go for the lower end of some other brackets, eg:
