Anyone find it weird that the Sisu film series ignores the fact that Finland was a cobelligerant with the NAZIS in WWII, and the titular character would have served with the SS before the last year of thr war? Do film studios really want people cheering on a retired nazi killing soviet soldiers?

Patriotism is not flying a plastic flag that was made in SEA or yelling at immigrants to go home when your last name is ORiley... Patriotism is loving your country enough to want it to be the best it can be, and having the courage to push for that.

I struggle to understand how conservatives are so enamored with LotRs. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of odd takes in Tolkein (I'm not particularly fond of the way people like me are depicted *cough* Harad *cough*), but the books are anti-industrial, about the weak overcoming the strong, etc.

I think the fact that a lot of people especilly so "centrists" are more upset about the White House being destroyed than kids losing SNAP and Trump illegally declaring war on the entire continent of South America says a lot about the American public's opinion on Hispanics and the poor. #trump

Let's say Ukraine and Russia had a ceasfire. Let's say some Ukrainians, possibly tied to the gov, shot at russians on occupied Ukranian land. Would that justify Russia resuming bombardment, cutting aid? Would you call that a ceasefire? All nations have a right to selfdetermination and selfdefense.

Fox News is out here celebrating a increase in sales for hamburger helper, a strong indicator of economic trouble. They even suggest people use tuna cans with it instead of beef
