Full-time Hermit, so-many-crafts-no-time-for-them-all Maker, Childless Cat Lady with too many houseplants. Oh, and there's that Biology degree going unused...
That's actually a slight improvement over waking up because the cat is throwing up...

Ugh. The temptation is real (I live on a residential road that's a shortcut between two highways) but alas, illegal [as far as I know]... Luckily, I'm also just within city limits and they recently started using photo enforcement that does seem to have helped slow down the worst offenders.

I was about to say how happy I was that my girls have outgrown the 3am zoomies when I suddenly remembered I was woken up by soft little momma-cat meows from the twelve year old at some ridiculous hour of this "morning"... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😻

😳 And I thought the "join us" ads from my city and state 👮‍♀️ departments, which have been on my FB feed for *weeks*, were bad...

ffs... 😠😢

And then the bite is itchy and irritated for daaaaayyyssss... If I have to be allergic to something, at least it's tick bites---? 🫤

Still being researched, apparently. (My body already does this! As soon as a tick bites me, even the . ones, the spot itches. The trick is remembering to check—I once ignored the itch, kept scratching, and ended up with a dozen bites as a tick chomped its way across my stomach... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️)

I asked my veterinarian about this years ago—apparently it doesn't work in humans the way it does in dogs. We did have a human version, very briefly, about 25 years ago. (According to the CDC website, production stopped in 2002 due to low demand. I believe it had other issues as well.) ☹️

💯 My new not-a-wagon SUV (ty, Ford) not only has a screen the size of a small tv (what was wrong with all the easy-to-find-and-use buttons and dials?! 🤨) but an app. An app. For my car. 😫 (I can drive w/out it. It's more for communica—ok, that's bad too, my car talks to me. Not literally! Yet... 😵‍💫)

Even with only the base layer (it's heavy if you go for all three! also, short attention span 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️) it makes a great looking, practical shawl. I added a border along the top plus a few rows of fun fur yarn to imitate a marabou feather collar. 😊

I hear ya. (Although I'm on the other side; I was very put out when Ford turned their SUVs into wagons—maybe as a response to Sub's success? 😆) Nothing wrong with wagons! I grew up in wagons. (dad had a Mercury & mom's Pinto counted, albeit a very small one 😉) Wishing your wagon many more miles!

Noooo... Not Springsteen. Enunciate, Bruce, enunciate!!! 😂😫

😂😳 As a teenager in the 80s who did, by default, listen to pop music, I am now desperately trying not to catch your earworm... 🤦🏻‍♀️
February 3, 2025 at 12:12 PM
Yep. Same tortie (well, technically a torbie, so Stealth Tortie) high on Tramadol—she somehow managed to get through a thick crate cushion cover and ended up lying in a cat-sized pile of bite-sized chunks of foam during recovery from hip surgery... 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I once had a *tortie*, the queens of cattitude, who was only 5% trap... (My gray, though, was 100% trap—not that I ever recall him offering a belly in the first place.)

The charming head tilt being the honey in the trap... 😹

Given Madame on the left likes being swaddled and held close, I'd say Luna loves belly rubs. But then they're cats, so that logic is shaky at best...

😹 This is very true. (Or double down, as they did that day...)

Or two. (Glutton for punishment, me.) 😹😻

I love it! And it looks like a variegated version of a houseplant...
