The ancient mage dragon glided slowly over the foreign landscape. The tiny flowers far below popped and mutated obscenely into bizarre flowers in shades of azure and scarlet. He was so close to the secret of this plane's power. But surely a short detour couldn't hurt. What was a 'maypole' anyway?

I'm a herpetologist with a background in genetics. One of my current projects is a citizen science project collecting reptile and amphibian sightings on social media. This resulted in a few cool things, including this never-before-seen colour morph of a Puff Adder without characteristic chevrons!

Thoroughly enjoying posting the weird bugs/plants/animals I see to iNaturalist. This moth (Large Spot Rivulet) I saw is only the 14th record in the world on iNaturalist for this species, and the first in my province! So cool!

On a work trip! Thus far got my lab work set up and helped the new Principal Investigator open the drawer in the bench I occupied 4 years ago (challenge: easy - she was using the wrong key). Is nice being on campus again 😊
