This is a reminder- perhaps a petty one, but a reminder regardless- that Roy Thomas’s “Manager” and best friend is an undeniable fuckin’ moron.

This was posted only a couple hours ago and a reader sent me this screenshot. Happy Birthday Stan!!! Except… Stan’s birthday is in DECEMBER.

You can’t make it up: someone brought to my attention that Roy Thomas’s autobiography has been made available for pre-order. Amongst the comments in the Official Roy Thomas Appreciation Group comes this guy’s somewhat sheepish reminder that Roy is using HIS title, which he’s shared numerous times:

Interesting aside from Susan Loeb who, as a 22 year old Marvel employee in the late 60/early 70s was asked to take a “writing test” by seeing how she’d ghost an installment of ‘Stan’s Soapbox’.

Perhaps it’s nothing but I found it interesting in spite of what we know today regarding… ghosts.

Mitch is a bad guy.

Mitch Hallock who promotes Terrificon displays his mentality with the great Cimino. Creators, know that if you don’t want to be a guest at his show, Hallock will see nothing wrong with showing up at your door and disrespecting your privacy.

So, is it possible that other freelancers lost assignments due to Roy Thomas’s use of fanzine influencers? Evanier’s statements seems to imply it.
