I'd long wondered if Clarence was an acronym (because Strathclyde had a wee dog called RALF - Road & Light Faults). I thought it might be 'Central and Lothian something'; it was Customer Lighting And Roads ENquiry CEntre.

Constantly get cars cutting onto the wrong side of the road divider to get to the rat run quicker from Ashley Terrace also, which has made for some 'fun' near-misses.

Both issues were raised to the council in February 2025. Sadly no action appears to have been taken.

Segregated cycle lanes on both sides of the road were removed about July last year and have never reappeared.
