Even that's giving people too much credit. I've gotten pushback for saying that Dems should at least put up candidates against Republicans so they don't just take power without a fight.

They dream of nothing more than to cheer their team and boo the opposition.

Seems profoundly strange and impersonal, to constantly look down at notes of things to talk about, like I'm pretending to be human.

Thank god looking down at your phone constantly has been normalized. People will just think I'm distracting myself from talking to them; much less embarrassing.

Again I say: how fucking interesting that remote work technology is bad and not worth adopting despite all research pointing to productivity gains, but genAI which offers NOTHING is so important to adopt and force on people who have no use for it despite all the horrible things genAI does

To all the "They deserve it for voting Republicans" jackasses:

Tell the Democrats to RUN FUCKING CANDIDATES! 16,000 Republicans won their races in 2024 WITHOUT AN OPPONENT! 50 Republicans got into the Kentucky state senate unopposed! The party completely abandoned us and half the goddamn country!
December 7, 2025 at 8:26 AM
And some still do! We've got a Dem governor who is roundly popular here! If the party bothered to give even a half-hearted try, they'd be a shoe-in to take control of the country come the midterms by riding on the current wave of resentment.

But we're not getting a blue wave without any water.

Do you have any idea how demoralizing it is to get into the voting booth on election day, ready to vote for your team, only to see nothing but the other team scoring points against no-one?

You'd have to be nuts to do that to yourself for years without taking the hint.

Whenever anyone from a red state asks for help from the Democratic party to run for office, they get told to piss off because they'd rather save resources for "winnable" seats in 'purple states'.
December 7, 2025 at 8:12 AM
I'm unconvinced they even have a plan to win in 2026.

They're just going to meander about with the assumption that they will without even trying.

Haven't played it myself (yet?), but I hear this is what ruined Mass Effect 3's ending.

I bore with it when I was young cause it was all I knew, but after having a taste of relief I can't go back to that hell. It destroyed my development in ways I'm still untangling and will never fully solve. I would prefer dying over losing access to any of my meds, and that's not hyperbole.

I was born with a permanent migraine and get frequent secondary headaches and occasional seizures. When I was young all I had was ibuprofen. Now I take Inderal, Riboflavin, Qulipta, Vitamin B6, Magnesium Oxide, and Ajovy (monthly shot); and I need a fan pointed at my head at all times.

If this administration had opponents then they would pounce on this event, if for nothing else but their sheer weakness being displayed here.

Instead...
Jeffries says not to expect Democrats to pursue Hegseth impeachment over boat strikes
"Republicans will never allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor," he said.

I've had push back from Dems for suggesting we not let Republicans take electoral office without a challenger. (which 16,000 Republicans did in 2024)

It's not an exaggeration to say the only thing they want is to yell at the left and let the right have its way.

I'm surprised it's not a winning strategy to say that my enemies are spot-on correct about all the problems, but maybe they go a little to far and are too blunt about it, so you should vote for me, who will do the exact same policies but in a way that is half-hearted and equivocal.

In the meantime I'll keep saying mean things about people I loathe, cause I have feelings n' stuff.

I want to put the worlds worst monsters into a comfortable place that they can't leave, unable to abuse anyone or be abused, where no-one will ever have to hear about them again.

We don't have the power to achieve that, but it is a goal that I believe is worth striving for.

We are deterministic and our behavior is dictated by our circumstances. My enemies did not 'choose' to be awful any more than I 'chose' to be correct.

I don't want to craft a hell for them to writhe in the agony they have inflicted upon others. I just want them out of the way.
