All the political players are in Atlantic City this week, and so is our message! New Jersey is facing a fiscal crisis and we can’t afford to wait. Raising progressive revenue from billionaires is fair, sustainable, and popular!

From the NJEA Convention: educators know what’s at stake. A fair tax system that asks billionaires to contribute more means stronger schools, thriving communities, and a better future for all.

Dear New Jersey Lawmakers,

Tax the rich.

Sincerely,
The For the Many Coalition

Congress just voted to cut $500 billion in clean energy tax credits - among so many devastating cuts in the budget that's now heading to the Senate. TODAY: Call our reps - keep saying NO! to these cuts! #TaxBigPolluters #StoptheCuts

TODAY: Call 877-853-4144 to tell your Representative: Reject the cruel #ChildTaxCredit proposal that would kick 4.5 million kids who are U.S. citizens off the program - just because one parent doesn’t have a Social Security number.

Call 877-853-4144 NOW! Tell your reps: Vote NO on the GOP’s health care cuts. This is the largest Medicaid cut in history. It’s not about saving money, but pushing people off coverage through more red tape, paperwork, and cost barriers. #StoptheCuts #ProtectMedicaid

So SNAP cuts = cuts to $6/day nutrition benefits for hungry working people, families, seniors. To pay for a $119 / day tax benefit for high-income earners.

🧵Let's talk SNAP and why #HandsOffSNAP matters. One of the ways Trump Republicans want to pay for more tax cuts for billionaires and big corporations is by making cuts to SNAP benefits.
April 15, 2025 at 10:41 PM
Republicans' tax plan projected cost: $5.5 trillion. 70% of the benefits go to the richest 5%.

R's would either blow up the deficit or use YOUR already-earned benefits to pay for their plan. Yup. It's a scam AND a heist!

BTW, who's NOT sweating their grocery bills this week? The 1%. #TaxtheRich
April 15, 2025 at 5:51 PM
Do you make under $14,000? The Republican budget plan will cost $1,125 a year. Do you make under $38,000? It'll cost you $430.

But if you make more than $650,000/year, you'll get $43,500.

It's not "woke" folks or immigrants hurting you—it's trickle-down economics. #TaxDay2025
