Most employers use behavioural interview quesitons to assess candidates during interviews.For a behavioural interview, remember the STAR method. It's a simple, effective way to structure your answers: describe the Situation, the Task you had, the Action you took, and the positive Result you achieved

How to tailor STAR answers to any job?

Mirror their job description!

If they value “client focus,” emphasize wins in client satisfaction boosts. If they need “efficiency,” highlight the time reduction (express both in numbers/percentage)

Want to stand out? Add a “lesson learned.”

Example:
“This project taught me that simplifying low-risk tasks lets teams focus on strategic work—a principle I now apply to all projects.”

1. Identify a problem you solved.
2. Highlight YOUR actions.
3. Show results using numbers!

Interview tip - Practice OUT LOUD: This will give you a foundation of knowledge to pull from when you’re answering questions. It will be much easier to pull things together in the moment with this prep in place. Do mock interviews with friends and family if possible.
