When seven nazis showed up to picket the opening of “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” at Westwood’s Village Theatre on December 22, 1967, leading 30 moviegoers to step out of line to beat the hell out of them before sending them running off into the night.

Walking through the Second Street Tunnel circa 1930, crossing under Bunker Hill from Figueroa to Hill, into the heart of what was then the fastest-growing city in the nation - a place with endless potential that served as a beacon for those who dared to dream.

“Los Angeles City Limits” in Belgium in 1944, where homesick soldier Charles Stapleton changes German writing on a signpost after driving out the Nazis in the Battle of St. Vith.

L.A. is everywhere, even when it’s 5,700 miles away.

Very sad that we’re going to be losing Patra this weekend.

Known to many just as a quick spot to grab a decent bite on your way to a Dodger Game, this Greek-named burger joint has been serving Echo Park for more than fifty years.

Like a palace of light in an ocean of night, you’re looking at a portal into a thousand different worlds.

This was Santa Monica’s Bundy Theatre, which stood at 3414 Pico Blvd from 1941 to 1963, when it was torn down to make way for the Santa Monica Freeway.
