Enjoy board games, growing my faith through doubt, 80s/90s CCM, mystery and scifi novels, and bad reality tv.
Republicans want it to be the 1950s. Unfortunately, a lot elected Democrats think it's visionary to be back in 2012.

MESSAGING I HOPE TO HEAR: We lost. We were fighting to lower healthcare costs but Republicans were willing to starve people to keep those prices high.
MESSAGING I EXPECT TO HEAR: This is a victory for bipartisanship.

All it takes is 3 Republicans to be willing to save our economy, restore due process and medical research, and stop a dictator from shredding the Constitution. All they have to do is be willing to vote with people who hold different ideas on taxes and govt regulation. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm sure this violates some state law. Even if not, this is an immigrant up to no good, so sending him to an El Salvador prison without due process seems to be the precedent.

Today, my dad said that teleworking government workers were lazy and entitled. Not recognizing that he was talking to his son, who is a teleworking government worker. It's amazing how Fox News poisons the mind.

In the Weekly Operational Report meeting from 3/21/25, Dudek threatens to defund low performing states, essentially saying SSA wouldn't pay DDS offices to make disability decisions.

Seeing more and more cybertrucks in a very red area of my blue state.
Why do they all look like they are already 10 years old? Faded, dented, rusted.

Honestly, why does he want this taken down? It's probably the best he's ever looked...

Can someone please explain his obsession with a straight border? Usually I can find the sinister meaning beneath his weird perseverations, but this one eludes me.
DOOCY: Are you concerned that if Canada became the 51st state, it would be a very very blue state?

TRUMP: You have that artificial line that looks like it was drawn by a ruler. I don't mean a ruler like a king, I mean a ruler like a ruler. It's just an artificial line.

Let's be honest. If Democrats win back the presidency and legislature, instead of restoring everything and pushing forward, they will preach unity, incremental progress, and financial responsibility. They'll continue to perform for moderate-right.

The Acting Commissioner, who somewhat admitted to punishing the residents of Maine because the governor argued with Trump, now threatens to harm all recipients over judge's ruling.

Democrats gearing up to declare that this is bad and that they STRONGLY wish they could do something about it.

Budget demand I'd like to see from Senate Democrats: DOGE eliminated; all oversight and operational control returned to agencies and Congress. If "waste" was identified, more funding provided for internal controls. Oh, and Musk deported.

1/🧵 Following up on our study featured in NYT today, this figure provides a macro-level view:

Dem vote shares rise with turnout parity (left) but fall with party-level ideological moderation (right). This suggests mobilizing base voters > persuading swing voters by moving to the center.

Today, disability cases in Social Security nationwide had an issue where the uploaded Release of Information form appeared illegible, rendering it unusable. We later learned it was due to a recent change in "WorkTrack", an employee monitoring program. I highly suspect DOGE.

BREAKING: DOGE attempts to decrease life expectancy in order to save billions in Social Security. "All years beyond age 70 is now considered waste," says Musk.

We aren't asking Democrat leaders to break laws. We just want them to stop following norms when nothing around them is normal. Speak forcefully. Feel some of the anger that citizens feel. Stop acting like there are any Republicans left who have any integrity.

If you are keeping a list of resistance heroes, put Tiffany Flick near the top.
Extraordinary filing released tonight in a case about access to Social Security data from Tiffany Flick, fmr chief of staff to Acting Commissioner Michelle King. It details the unusual urgency the DOGE boys had in getting to SSA data & what they were looking for:
