In the Russian armed horde it is fair to say Bashkirs have shown strong resistance to enrollment. Bashkortostan would secede from Russia if they could. Tatars have also shown reluctance. For Buryats the Russian army is a gold mine, as for Daghestanis, who are a multi-ethnic grouping.
