The only possible commentary that I noticed was about the police and how ineffective they are. Brolin’s character was the only one who thought to triangulate the paths of the kids, the detectives took the word of this weird lady in clown makeup that everything was normal in this house, etc.

Proximity effect is usually a boost in low frequencies. I don’t think this clip sounds bad coming out of my phone but you can play around with EQ til you find the area that you don’t like and turn it down
